The changing style of Interiors...

We all find things in the loft or attic that haven't been looked at for years or were simply forgotten about, a recent discovery in ours were some hardback home shopping catalogues. Looking through them yesterday it was an eye opening reminder of how much styles have changed since we received these catalogues 21 years ago. In 1995 the heavily patterned sofa's, bulky furniture and headache inducing carpets were just thought of as being the current look and were accepted which makes me wonder, in another 21 years how will we feel about the trends that were around in 2016? Will they still look fresh or will they too have become tired and dated - favoured styles currently are for streamlined furniture and neutral tones as they give a fresh spacious look but it is important to put your own stamp on your home. Trends may come and go, but a well styled Interior that feels like home will last for many years to come.
