An easy way to revamp and freshen up your home is to give a room/rooms a repaint. Hiring a professional painter and decorator means you get a professional finish and saves you the hard work but if you are wanting to have a go yourself, here are some tips so you can achieve that professional look:
1) Make sure that your brushes and rollers are free of any dust particles or loose bristles as this will effect the paint finish.
2) Ensure the wall is clean and remove any traces of grease and dirt - the end result will be greatly affected if this isn't done.
3) Some paints contain impurities and sediments that can get stuck to the freshly painted walls. Straining the paint first will prevent this from happening.
4) Paint trays can be very difficult to keep clean after use - by covering the tray with a plastic bag this saves that difficult job as the bag is simply removed after use.
